Koh Samui Tours

There's a lot to do on Samui Island. Apart from its beautiful beaches and legendary nightlife the options grow wider upon inspection. Try a day tour to other islands, or maybe a little jungle trekking. Simply explore the island's many and varied beaches or plan a big night out in Chaweng or Lamai. Whatever you do on Samui is bound to be loads of fun. Enjoy.

Koh Tao Snorkeling

Some of the best snorkelling in Thailand can be found on Koh Tao ('Turtle Island'), 90 minutes north of Koh Samui by boat. Sharks, stingrays, puffer fish, various groupers and triggerfish are just some of the locals. Tanote Bay, to the east of the island has some of the best snorkelling sites - spectacular coral reefs with sea fans.

Experience isn't necessary, you only have to dip your head under the surface to see the spectacular sights. Tours usually take in Koh Nang Yuan, 3 islands joined by sandbars. (Read more...)

Kayaking in Ang Thong National Park

Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park consists of a 42-islands group some 90 minutes away by boat from Koh Samui. Kayaking around the largest of the islands is superb as erosion has, over the years, crafted some weird and wonderful shapes with plenty of overhangs and caves to explore.

Thale Nai or the 'Lake in the Mountain' is on Mae Ko Island. It is a large natural body of water surrounded by limestone cliffs and is very impressive but a little bit of a hard climb to get up the steps to the lip of the 'bowl'. (Read more...)

Eco Tours

There is no shortage of eco tours on Samui Island. Typically you will be driven to an elephant camp to go trekking through the countryside and return to ride in a cart pulled by a buffalo. Traveling through the upper reaches of Samui's jungle in a 4WD is great fun and makes for wonderful photo opportunities.

Some tours take you to the top of the island to the Magic Garden – a fantastic collection of mountain top cement sculptures made by an ex monk and with striking views out over the Gulf of Thailand. (Read more...)

Game Fishing

The waters around Koh Samui offer some of the best fishing in Thailand. The boat captain will decide the best spots depending on the weather, usually you'll try both trolling and bottom fishing.

No experience is necessary and the boat crew do the dirty work for you. Non anglers are welcome to come along for the ride. The likely catch includes Giant Trevelly, Baracuda, Cobia or maybe Spanish Mackeral. (Read more...)
