Surin Beach

Surin
is a popular weekend spot, long visited by local Thais and expatriates.
The beach is long and uncluttered, and a beautifully grassed picnic
area shaded by casuarina pine trees lies adjacent to the beach
access, providing a great area for picnics and barbecues.
Bring your own treats or sample from local vendors. Good for
a day visit for swimming and snorkelling in high season -- in
low season, care must be taken as surf can be rough and tides
quite strong. A very quiet and wide spot.
Pansea Beach

Small and exclusive -- the small cove at the northern
end is reserved for the ultra-luxurious Amanpuri resort -- the
only access to Pansea Beach is through the hotel grounds.
Laem Singh Beach

On
the winding coastal road between Kamala and Surin, Laem Singh
is an intimately sized beach reached via a rocky walking track
from the road above. Because of it's size and location, it is
absent of hoards of tourists, and is therefore a lovely spot for
lazing around in relative isolation. In high season, a couple
of local families run small food stalls and bars, making it definitely
worth taking a stop here on your way along the coast road.
To reach the spot, you will have to park your car or bike on
a small parking with a sign "this way to Laem Singh",
just before reaching Surin Beach. Be aware that there is a 29
Baht charge for the parking, and a short walk down the hill.
