There are two main locations where most hotels & resorts on Phi Phi Island are located, Tonsai Bay and Laem Tong. You may have alternatives to reach Phi Phi Islands by either Speedboat or Local Ferry. Itβs better to know where your selected resort / hotel is, and please ensure the tour companies that you have booked your transportation, will disembark you near the resort.
Speedboat
It takes approximately 1 hour / way from Phuket to Phi Phi Island. You can check with the hotel if they can arrange this kind of service or you can book this through any tour companies. Advanced reservation is required.
However, we would not recommend speedboat during the monsoon season (May β October).
Local Ferry
It takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes β 2 hours / way from Phuket to Phi Phi Island. Some local ferries stop at Tonsai Bay only, which you must take a local long-tail boat to hotels Laem Tong (If your hotel is in Laem Tong). However, if you book with some ferry company, it can offer to take you to both locations, Tonsai Bay & Laem Tong. Advanced reservation is required for both choices.
** It takes approximately 1 hour β 1 and a half hour at least to go from/to Phuket International Airport to the Phuket Pier. Please ensure that your arrival & departure flights are suitable with the following ferry schedule.
